I'm a born-and-raised Wisconsin guy, and I spent my career as an automotive engine machinist. As a second-generation race car driver, racing has been in my blood since birth. I ice raced and flat-tracked motorcycles when I was younger, raced midgets later on, and spent more weekends at the track than I could count.
These days I'm retired, and my favorite weekends look a little different. I'm at a beer garden with my buddies, sitting around a campfire, or just outside somewhere with nowhere to be. BIERDRIFTERS came out of those weekends. The shirts celebrate beer gardens, Oktoberfest, the outdoors and the humor that comes with taking life at my own pace.
The best ideas come from around the long beer garden tables. Every design starts with me, my friends and fellow beer garden regulars swapping stories over a few rounds. On a personal note, a major piece of who I am is my connection to Special Olympics. I started volunteering in my 20s, and I've been at it for over 40 years now. When BIERDRIFTERS grows and becomes successful, my plan is to donate a percentage of sales to support their incredible mission.
